But I will definitely say the best thing you can do is educate yourself about PCOS. It's not a condition that can be wholly medicated like most doctors tend to do, and while in most cases it comes to light when we're ttc, having the mindset of 'conquering PCOS' rather than solely TTC is what will enable you conceive and sustain a healthy pregnancy. I know it sounds contradictory, but thats just how it is (from personal experience, anyway) I wish you all the best, :)Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14561393931959879636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5020292441410597389.post-39876235902277132572011-06-13T15:14:44.743+01:002011-06-13T15:14:44.743+01:00Thanks for your reply. When I moved to the US at 19 my Obgyn randomly mentioned I may have PCOS. I never really had a lot of symptoms other than irregular periods (different cycle lengths, but I at least had a period every 1-3 months). I was just officially diagnosed with PCOS last year when I was started TTC.sedehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16746501574175034046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5020292441410597389.post-70749575284522332242011-06-11T17:09:43.375+01:002011-06-11T17:09:43.375+01:00@ MFM, AMEEN!!! Allah is the best Protector and may He protect us all and answer our duas (ameen). Little Bob loves aunties that make duas for him/her,lol.... thanks dear, your comments always make me smile, :)

@ Sede, thanks for your comment and I totally understand what you mean. I hope you were able to glean a few things from my entries. I will do a post in response to your questions; I'd be more than happy to help out any way that I can. I know from experience that we need all the help we can get, even though at the end of the day it's all in Gods Hands. May I ask if you've always had PCOS but were never diagnosed or if the symptoms sort of crept up on you overnight?Nanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14561393931959879636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5020292441410597389.post-32481973406820900842011-06-09T15:51:07.625+01:002011-06-09T15:51:07.625+01:00Congratulations! I bet its an awesome feeling.
I started reading your blog a couple weeks ago. And I think I pretty much read through your entire TTC journey.
I too have PCOS. I've been TTC for over a year and being Naija it's difficult dealing with all the pressure from family and friends. I've learned to ignore but it is still difficult.

I was just wondering, did you do anything special this time around? How much weight did you lose before you got your BFP. Do you think Metformin did the trick? How long were you on Metformin this time around before your BFP. Did you BD differently? What was the frequency of BD? What did you do differently?

I know this is a lot of questions, but I'll be grateful if you can take the time to answer. Thanks,
Sedesedehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16746501574175034046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5020292441410597389.post-22243694225257695442011-05-31T17:27:18.179+01:002011-05-31T17:27:18.179+01:00Ooooh exciting! And may Allah swt protect you and your child from the evil eye sis, please read Surah Maryam, I have heard this Surah in particular is very useful (not sure if this is the correct term) for pregnant mothers :-) xxxmint.fresh.muslimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13220396049332787830noreply@blogger.com
